The eve of destruction.

This is it. Our last night of having a cheesy and
outdated bathroom. Of course, before we can get our
luxurious suite, we will have to have 10 days without
a bathroom. Hopefully it will be worth it. The
project will be journaled here, but first, here are
some before photos for your viewing pleasure. I did
not attempt to straighten up the bathroom for this
photo shoot because I figured we would want it to look
its worst, like in before pictures of women getting
makeovers. The before photos are always women
frowning with no makeup, so this is the equivalent for
our bathroom.

Click on the photo to see more glamour shots. Please
note the lovely reddish brown “feature” strip and the
yellowish-beige tile. Also note the wooden window in
the shower. That thing is surely rotting after being
drenched in water twice daily. That baby will be
replaced with an unrottable vinyl window.

I am very excited about this but also very afraid. We
have spent hours and hours agonizing over every little
element going into this bathroom. The thing is, we
couldn’t see everything that we have chosen together.
I hope it will look well designed and not like a train
wreck. We just keep telling ourselves that it’s got
to look better than what we have now.

More to come tomorrow including a photo journal of our
Port-a-Potty. Awesome.
